What We Believe
Like the New Testament, we define the people of God as His church—filled and guided by His Holy Spirit. We are Baptist with arms wide open to anyone. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Savior of all who call upon Him as well as Lord of our everyday life.
We are committed to timeless Baptist principles, and we look to the 1963 Baptist Faith and message as a guide. We support the National and Georgia Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, the Baptist Associated Press, Baptist World Alliance, and McAfee School of theology at Mercer University. More than eleven percent of our offerings go to mission causes.
In our worship service we strive to create an atmosphere for members to grow in a personal relationship with God. Each person’s relationship with God is different, because God sees the uniqueness in each of us. God loves each of us, and desires to nurture us into what He designed us to be. To encourage communication with God, we have a contemplative worship service. Contemplative worship offers us the spiritual renewal we need in our hectic, stressful lives. Contemplative worship is a time within the worship service to quiet ourselves to open our hearts, minds, and souls to the presence of God within us. It is one way to hear the quiet, voiceless voice of God.
